Gull Winged Lead Sockets

Tecknit's gull winged lead sockets are utilized for small outline packages, flat packs, and other gull winged package configurations. Interconnection of gull winged devices and printed pircuit boards is accomplished using Tecknit "Fuzz ButttonŽ" technology. Fuzz buttons, acting like miniature springs, are accurately positioned and combined with thin gold plated "Hardhats". The gold plated "Hardhats" provide a solid contact base for interconnection to the qull winged leads are contacted, providing virtually "invisible" interconnection. In addition, each contact is fully retained, removable only from the PC board side of the socket. Tecknit's gull winged lead sockets are used in high speed tect applications to ensure reduced signal distortion.
