TECKNIT SHIELDING COMPONENTS
CONDUCTIVE
O-SEALS - SILICONE ELASTOMER RINGS - O-SEALS
are resilient rings of conductive silicone elastomer. They are available
in round or rectangular cross sections and provide both shielding and sealing.
TECKNIT CONDUCTIVE O-SEALS are designed for static applications in which
the sealed surfaces do not move in relation to one another. They can be
made from a variety of CONSIL materials. (See conductive elastomers)
EMC
FOIL TAPES - CONDUCTIVE FOIL TAPE WITH ADHESIVE - EMC FOIL TAPE consists of copper or aluminum foil backed with a
conductive acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive. This tape is ideal for sealing
seams in EMI shielded rooms and cabinets, wrapping cable, static discharge
draining, and grounding. It is also a practical repair material. The tapes
meet MIL-T-47012. (SE): Copper 60 dB. Aluminum 55dB.
EMI
CONNECTOR GASKETS - EMI FLANGE SEALS FOR ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS - CONNECTOR GASKETS provide shielding and environmental sealing between
flanges and mounting bulkheads. A variety of materials can be manufactured
into connector gaskets for both military and commercial applications. Materials
include CONSIL® materials, plus TECKFELT TM, DUOLASTIC TM,
TECKSPAN TM, and ELASTOMET®.
FUZZ BUTTON®
- RESILIENT WIRE MESH CONTACTS - FUZZ BUTTONS
are small, cylindrical, knitted wire mesh contacts. Standard metals employed
are tin-plated phosphor bronze, monel, and silver brass. They are available
in standard sizes ranging from .062" to .500" in diameter and
height and are ideal for shielding and grounding computer enclosures. The
buttons remain resilient and conductive after thousands of cycles.
TECKMASK
TM TAPE - EMI FOIL TAPE
WITH EASY PEEL MASK - TECKMASK Tape withstands
the rigorous powder painting process used in sheet metal manufacturing while
eliminating expensive plating, hand masking, and chromate coating. After
painting and baking, the mask is removed, leaving a clean conductive surface
and smooth paint edge overlapping the foil. Widths are .43" TO 2.0".

FORM-IN-PLACE GASKETING - SILVER-PLATED
COPPER FILLED SILICONE - FORM-IN-PLACE GASKETING
is inherently a custom process that is ideal for the performance requirements
and cost demands of commercial applications. The gasket material is silver-plated
copper filled silicone that cures to form a flexible EMI shield and environmental
seal. (SE) > 75 dB @ 10 MHz; > 70 dB @ 1 GHz.
