Fingerstock for Enclosures

Application Problem: Application Problems: A small enclosure for computer equipment requires a gasket to protect the internal components from electrical interference. The door on the cabinet will not only compress the gasket onto the front panel but it must also slide a short distance along the strip as it locks in place.

Innovative Solution: An existing beryllium copper fingerstock strip is modified to allow for parallel sliding along its' length. The 55-55700 has a solid "spine" added to the tops of its' fingers that will create a solid platform for the door to slide along as the gasket compresses.

Benefits:

Perpendicular / Parallel sliding will not damage gasket.

Excellent Shielding

Low Cost

Available in lengths up to 24"

Easy to install : Pressure sensitive adhesive or rivet mount.

All platings available for galvanic compatibility.
